General educational guidance — not a current application notice
Document, study-plan and academic-writing workshop
Practical structures and reflective prompts for plans, proposals, statements, recommendation requests and CVs; these are not submission-ready documents.
Build a requirement record, not a list of assumptions
Start with the program and cycle instructions: document name, required or conditional status, language, format, any stated certification process and verified deadline. Treat the general checklist as a starting point only. Compare spelling and dates across files and organize copies on your device. Do not upload documents to Sahla or enter passport numbers or medical details in its notes.
Study plan: why, what and how?
Ask: What do I want to learn? Why does verified information suggest this program fits? What preparation do I actually have, and what must I develop? Adaptable structure: [specific goal], [truthful evidence of preparation], [target topics or skills], [feasible learning steps], [how to assess progress], [responsible later use of knowledge]. Check length and headings against the real instructions. This workshop sets no universal word count.
Research proposal: a bounded question and a discussable plan
Start with [problem] and [why it matters], then [reading with verified references], [research question], [possible method], [resources and access limits], [ethical considerations], [work stages] and [anticipated limitations]. Distinguish proposed work from completed work. Do not invent results, data or references, or promise a method you do not understand. Discuss feasibility instead of guaranteeing a result.
Motivation and personal statements
Read the actual prompt first; the purposes of these documents can differ between programs. For motivation, connect [specific academic reason], [verified program feature], [real preparation] and [realistic goal]. For a personal statement, choose [a real situation you wish to share], [your actual role], [what you learned] and [its relevance to your choice]. You do not need to invent an extraordinary story. Omit experiences you do not wish to disclose, and never turn a future ambition into a past achievement.
Request a recommendation, not a signed fictional letter
Ask someone who actually knows your work whether they are willing to recommend you, leaving a clear opportunity to decline. Request structure: [how they know you], [program and link], [verified deadline and submission method], [truthful summary of your work together], [thanks and respect for their decision]. Ask what they need and follow the institution’s confidentiality and delivery instructions. Do not write their opinion or signature, invent a referee or fabricate an acceptance letter.
Academic CV and final review
Begin with [actual education], [real projects or experience] and [skills you can explain]. Include publications or awards only if they exist, and state work status accurately: an unpublished draft is not a published paper. Obtain permission before listing a referee’s details. Sahla CV is a free Arabic/English CV preparation resource; check its format against your program’s needs yourself. We do not assume specialized academic-CV features. Before submission, check every name, date, source and bracketed field, then read the text to ensure it represents your own voice and facts.
